Rachel Bates, 22, of Portage, was arrested for breaking into Ed’s Auto in Union City on Dec. 28. Michigan State Police reported a Snap-On $7,000 vehicle analysis computer, a $1,500 DVR system, a .38 caliber semi-automatic gun, and $220 in cash were taken from the business on Mendon Road.Bates and Alex Matthews were caught breaking into businesses in Kalamazoo County on New Year’s Day.Both are facing felony charges there.
